XMAS 2007

Outside Yazdani, a Mumbai bakery. A delicacy for every occasion.
'Apple Pie a day will keep you Happy all Day',
but it takes a 'Rum Plum Cake' to make Christmas a merry Day.

plum pies always make me think of the nursery rhyme: "little jack horner sat in a corner,
eating a Christmas pie...
he put in his thumb and pulled out a plum, and said "What a good boy am I" :)

and apple pies are not something i would expect to see advertised on a sidewalk in india....interesting! i wonder if they could compare to my mama's... :)

Seamus: :)

Bakpakker: Thank you.

Vineeta: Absolutely. :)

Bluemountainmama: And the plum on realising Jack Horner would now eat it up, said, 'and what a sad plum am I' :)

Actually you're right, Apple Pies are not something usually advertised on a sidewalk in India, this Parsi bakery is an exception.

Oh, rum plum cake. My mum puts whisky on hers, but I think rum would be better! Thanks for visiting my blog.

I wish to you and yours a Happy Christmas and a Wonderful New Year!

I will have one of each, please!

Andrea: It was except for an overdose of Rum, which might've been in the Christmas spirit.

Daniel Santos: Cakes have become synonymous with Christmas, and for good reason too.

Cuckoo: Purposely I would say, though we landed there around then, late afternoon.

Quintarantino: Why not, I wouldn't be able to put off either one of them for later, would rather finish off the plate in one sitting :)

Lazy Cow: Maybe it is. If you were to visit Mumbai on an India trip around Christmas time, Yazdani would be happy with you sampling their tasty offerings.

Sonia: Thank you. Wish you a Merry Christmas as well.

Kenju: You're welcome to them both, many times over :)

Merry X'mas and a happy new year!

Rambling Around: Hmmm.

Clueless in Boston: Maybe 'stretch skin' considering smiles will stretch it :)

Shantanu: Thanks, wishing you and your loved ones a happy new year too :)

Bhumika: Very true, and thank you. Wishing you a merry new year ahead :)
