Today, Ten Years Ago …

Windy Skies  came to be.

I was looking for my machine that afternoon, and felt the need to write about it, here.

I’m not sure what I’m looking for now or if I’m looking for anything at all.

There’re fewer bends in the road now, and more dead ends.

When this place started out I could not see the end of the road.

Now, I think I can see it in the distance.

Atleast I think I do.

For those of you who still find your way here, by design or accident, thank you for choosing to ride with me.

Nooooooooooooo, the road goes on forever. Dead-ends = u-turns. Your voice is an important voice. It appears in my blogreader and I am glad.
Thank you for enabling me to add your voice to the voices that shape my world.

Ten years ago is a VERY LONG lifespan for a blog. Glad you've kept with it.

Don't close any doors. Blogging and bloggers have changed, we're inclined to reflect on its importance to us and wonder where we're going, of course. I sometimes regret that the great outpouring of creativity that it began with has slowed to more of a trickle, but I think there will always be a place for it for some of us, I hope this includes you.

It has been a smooth, meditative ride, Anil; and thank you so much! Reading this post, the first thing that popped up in my mind was your post on Vengurla; remember? That was some ride, man! Am with you, somewhere behind, but not too far behind...

Di: Thank you. Nice to know the voice here adds a bit to your world.

Hopefully the road goes on forever :-)

Am: Thank you for reading it over the years.

Kathy G: Thank you. Yes, it is a long time.

Susan Scheid: Thank you for riding along the journey :-)

Lucy: Thank you, Lucy, for your kind and encouraging words.

Will try not to close, at least not consciously in the sense of "this far, no more".

Just that things peter out, and as you rightly point out that things change. External and internal changes. External in the sense - the place of the blog in the era of FB and Twitter, and readers' preferences, internal - as in our own stories that need dealing with.

Balachandran V: Thank you very much. It's been great having you along on the journeys.

Yes, Vengurla, I remember. That'd have been your kind of journey.

You're not too far behind I'm sure - just four years if I see correctly - 2008, your year. 2018 would be your turn at a decade.

Riot Kitty: Thank you very much. You've barely missed any, and for that I'm very thankful to you.

Hey Anil...read your blog after a long time. Somehow, I don't get updates from your blog on my wordpress site.

That's a lovely, long journey for you and nice to know that things ahead of you are clearer now. Keep writing and clicking.
